One Night Only: Wednesday, October 21st at 7:15pm
Get ready for one of the great horror-comedy classics on the big screen!
When bumbling freight handlers Chick Young (Bud Abbott) and Wilbur Grey (Lou Costello) find themselves delivering some very unusual cargo, they’re pulled into a plot involving Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster and the Wolf Man. Dracula has plans for the Monster—and poor Wilbur may have exactly what the Count needs to complete them.
Released in 1948, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein brings together Abbott and Costello with Universal’s legendary monsters, including Bela Lugosi as Dracula, Lon Chaney Jr. as the Wolf Man and Glenn Strange as Frankenstein’s Monster. The result is a wonderfully entertaining mix of classic horror and Abbott and Costello comedy that has remained a fan favorite for generations.
Special Presentation: Film historian Harry Marks of “The Lobby” will introduce the film and return after the screening for a discussion about the movie, its stars and its place in Hollywood history.
Come see Dracula, the Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster—and Abbott & Costello—the way they were meant to be seen: together on the big screen!
